I completely understand the sensitivity of the topic to many Chinese people, especially those working in health care industry. I am maintaining this site and my arguments for the concern of many instead of a few, the best interest of everyone instead of someone, and the seek of truth instead of manipulation of numbers. I have no intention to offend people, but there is no way to avoid it if I want to pursue the topic, and I do want to pursue the topic.
I graduated from a Chinese Medical School. I acquired a Master of Surgery Degree in China and subsequently worked as a surgeon. Realizing how disastrous the health management system in China was to the practice of medicine, I decided to study health care management, in another country—U.S.A. I had obtained a master degree in health administration and one in business administration. I had also obtained a Ph.D. in health management and policy. I have always been preparing to go back to China and make some difference if possible. But because of personal and family reasons my trip back to China was cancelled. I decided to start this project to relieve some of my guiltiness toward not going back to China as I have planned for a long time.
